Group Therapy
Megan Earp, MS, LPC, Ecotherapist
As technology advances, we, as a society, spend less time outdoors. We spend more time focusing on our screens. On average, we spend 4.1 hours a day on our phones. This excessive amount of time is causing more mental health distress. Due to this, more time needs to be spent in nature. Exposure to nature has many benefits: less stress, better mood, improved attention, and so much more. It is time to take a step outdoors and regain our mental health.
Our groups are designed to help participants regain their mental health in a natural way. Each group will offer journaling, meditation/grounding, walking, group discussion, and tips to help improve their mental health. The group will also teach participants about the power of nature and how it can be healing. It is our hope that participants will leave the group revitalized with new tips, information, and connections to begin their journey to a healthier self.
“Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.”
—John Muir
